High Potassium Fruit
Hi Friends of SlimGourmet! Fruit is one of the recommended foods to be consume devery day to complete the nutritional needs in the body. Along with currentdevelopments, fruit is recommended to keep fulfilling fiber and maintain a balance of vitamins and minerals in the body. Potassium is one of the minerals that is important for maintaining cell stability and body tissues while functioning properly. The condition of a person who lacks potassium in the body is called hypokalemia, whereas if excessive, it is called hyperkalemia. Normal body potassium levels are 3.5 - 5.0 mEq/L.
For hypokalaemia sufferers, besides consuming high-potassium vegetables, it is also
recommended to consume high-potassium fruits such as bananas, dates, avocados,
apricots, and tomatoes while those with hyperkalemia are advised to avoid and
not consume these fruits.
