Healthy Snack on Eid Al-Fitr
Hi friends of SlimGourmet! We will be celebrating Eid Al-Fitr in a couple more days. Usually, on Eid Al-Fitr day, we prepare some cookies to welcome guests who come to the house. How is Eid Al-Fitr day preparation in your house like?
Typical cookies that are served on Eid Al-Fitr day taste very sweet and have a high content of sugar & fat. Therefore, we recommend that you limit your cookies consumption on Eid Al-Fitr day to help maintain your weight and stay healthy. For people with specific condition, such as diabetes mellitus, it is better for you to eat sugar free cookie, so your blood sugar is controlled. Those of you who have specific food allergies or intolerances should try other ingredients as a substitute. For example, egg can be substituted with banana or tofu. If you need a gluten free diet, you can substitute wheat flour with gluten free flour, tapioca flour, and sorghum flour. Milk also can be substituted with some alternatives such as soymilk and
almond milk. So, there are still ways that you can eat delicious cookie without feeling guilty about your health and weight.
If you want to buy cookies, please make sure to read the information provided on the product’s ingredients list and nutrition information panel. Feel free to contact one of SlimGourmet’s certified nutritionists for a nutrition consultation to help you choose food that is suitable for your condition. SlimGourmet also provides healthy cookies that can be served on Eid Al-Fitr day, such as choco-almond cookies, sugar-free sweetheart cookies, sugar-free oatmeal cookies, etc.
